Bank, branch, account and CPF
Use your bank’s account ownership document to verify details. A card number does not replace branch and account numbers. Keep the check digit and account type exactly as recorded by the bank. If the form separates account and check digit, put each in its correct field.
| Detail | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Institution | The bank or payment account actually used |
| Branch and account | Complete numbers and required check digit |
| Account type | Current, savings or payment as registered |
| Holder and CPF | The person identified as entitled to the balance |
Why the originating account matters
The refund under the MP prioritizes an active account held by the customer, preferably the account from which the money originated. An earlier statement helps connect a balance to its original payment. If you used several accounts of your own, separate receipts and identify each source before adding amounts.
If the account has closed, explain this to the refund institution and ask about another account in your name. Do not substitute a relative’s account. A changed phone number, deleted Pix key and closed bank account are different issues.
Pix and bank transfers
Pix is a transfer method with its own identification and continuous operation. Other transfers may depend on institution rules and hours. An eligible payment account can also receive funds; a wallet’s brand name alone does not establish compatibility with a particular refund.
Read the receipt to identify the actual channel. If it contains EndToEnd, keep it with your Pix details. If another identifier is used, save the complete reference. Do not enter branch and account details in a Pix key field or vice versa.
Track the credit without duplicate requests
- Open the receiving account statement.
- Look for the expected date and amount in R$.
- Check the sender rather than relying on a notification.
- Match the credit to the refund reference.
- Document discrepancies in one complete enquiry.
A notification may precede the detailed statement. For two transactions with identical amounts, compare date, reference and source. Keep enough evidence to distinguish the cases without exposing personal documents on social media.
Displayed balance and refundable money
R$ 500,00 in promotional credit does not automatically equal R$ 500,00 in cash to refund. Identify your funds, settled winnings and bets unresolved within the legal window. Request a breakdown if figures differ. The withdrawal and refund guide explains this distinction.
Do not pay a stranger by Pix to locate missing funds. Use the channel responsible for your case and save its reference. See Brazilian payments for documents associated with each transaction.
AFUN Brazil and MP 1.394/2026
AFUN’s Brazilian operation appears in the SPA historical register under BRILLIANT GAMING LTDA, CNPJ 56.259.060/0001-88, domain afun.bet.br and Ordinance SPA/MF No. 261 of 7 February 2025. This record concerns the authorization preceding MP 1.394/2026 and does not establish current availability. Brasil Afunbet publishes information about the brand and is not the company holding that CNPJ.
The provisional measure dated 25 September 2026 covers fixed-odds sports betting and online games, including offers by overseas companies to people in Brazil. An international website, reais or a Pix logo creates no exception. Any court ruling must be checked for the particular company and period it covers.
| Date | Finance Ministry timetable | What to track |
|---|---|---|
| 25 September 2026 | New funds prohibited in betting accounts | Distinguish deposits from refunds |
| 5 October, 23:59 | Voluntary withdrawal window ended | Keep existing requests and statements |
| 6 October | Websites and apps taken offline | Check the refund procedure |
| 9–14 October | Refunds through financial institutions | Check your bank account and ownership |
| From 15 October | Caixa handles cases with operational obstacles | Follow official case instructions |
The Finance Ministry timetable describes the general transition, not a promise to credit every AFUN account at a particular time. Keep receipts, identify the responsible operator and track your refund without making another deposit to release the balance.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use someone else’s account?
Use an account in your name. If the original is closed, ask the responsible institution about another account of your own.
Can a card number replace an account number?
No. Verify branch, account, check digit and type in the bank document.
How do I identify a received credit?
Compare amount, date, source and reference on the statement. A notification alone is insufficient for reconciliation.
